why am I here?

By Dr. Dan Baddiley (Osteopath)

Because I care

My purpose is to care. Care for myself, my family, my colleagues, my friends, my clients

As an Osteopath, I’ve been treating clients for the last 23 odd years, and take great pride in those I have helped in that time. When I reflect back on that professional career, I take the most pride in those that I have helped, but not necessarily in their ‘pain’.

Pain is pain, and for the most part, is relatively easy for me to help you with… understand the mechanism of injury, identify tissue causing symptoms and magic it all back together.

As my career has progressed, I’ve realised that I take much more pride from helping clients with their life.

There will be a handful of you a year, whilst you’ve initially presented with ‘pain’, the reasons for it being present can run far deeper than a simple tissue causing symptoms.  Peeling back the layers, understanding who you are, connecting the dots & explaining ‘why’ things are happening is my strength. It can separate me from others in our profession and can add value where others can not.

The basis of this comes from understanding myself – who I am, and what I want. Having a solid foundation now (it’s certainly not always been the case) has allowed me to reflect, change and take better care of myself. I can then, in turn, take better care of those around me

There is not much more satisfying that helping others, but first, you’ve got to help yourself.

Perhaps I can help you with your life, help you better understand yourself and then you can take care of others.

Sincerely,

Dan.
